Corrina Johnson's passion for art began at an early age, drawing horses from the time she was five years old. That lifelong fascination with animals laid the foundation for a career centered on capturing the beauty and spirit of wildlife and the natural world. After high school, she received a scholarship to study with a renowned wildlife artist, an experience that further inspired her artistic path. She later attended the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle, where she studied figure drawing and fashion illustration, building a strong technical foundation while continuing to pursue her love of wildlife art.

Dedicated to refining her craft, Corrina has studied with respected wildlife and landscape artists through numerous workshops and courses, including at the prestigious Scottsdale Artists' School. These experiences have helped shape her distinctive style, combining careful observation with a deep appreciation for the landscapes and animals that inspire her work.

For more than twenty years, Corrina divided her time between Jackson, Wyoming, and Phoenix, Arizona, finding endless inspiration in the diverse scenery and abundant wildlife of the American West. An avid plein air painter, she often painted directly from nature and spent countless hours photographing wildlife, creating a rich library of reference images that bring authenticity and life to her paintings.

Today, Corrina calls Santa Fe, New Mexico, home. The region's dramatic skies, vibrant sunsets, and unique desert landscape continue to influence her work, while the area's remarkable variety of birds provides an ever-changing source of inspiration. Whether painting wildlife, sweeping landscapes, or the warm glow of a Southwestern sunset, Corrina's work reflects her enduring connection to nature and her passion for sharing its beauty through art.
